It seems that the Simul-Ring works but it doesn't ring long enough for him to answer the call.ĭoes this issue only persist on the specific user? We tried reconfiguring his account and remove all the forwarding rules in Sefautil and he said that his Skype and mobile phone rings but only for around 3 seconds and the call gets directed to voicemail. Phone to simultaneous ring along my Skype phone number and it worked! I live in a different country but my account holds a US phone number and set my mobile I just couldn't understand why it does not work with our user, who is based in United States. I tried and did the same setting on my account and it worked flawlessly. The user is Enterprise Voice enabled and we have configured his account via Sefautil. He wants his mobile phone number to simultaneously ring when his Skype phone number is called. Seems to be locked up when this has hap.We have this really weird issue with one of our users regarding Simultaneous ring on Skype. Only way to fix it is hard shut down the workstation and reboot.

I am simply trying to migrate 5 users off of the Exchange On-Prem and onto Office365 so that the On-Prem server can be reused elsewhere for other means. #My skype is not working properly install
Installing it from an admin-CMD while the user is logged in openes the meeting in my context only once and then asks again to install the web app. I have already tried uninstalling the web app in the user's context and reinstalling it as an admin to no avail. The company's site keeps me in the infinite loop of telling me to install the web app -> "uninstall=1" -> install the web app. Clicking on "join the meeting" on the university's site opens a pop-up asking if I allow the site to open Skype, I click open and it works.

The fun starts when I tried visiting university's test meeting again -> It works fine! The structure of the URL is exactly the same! "/?sl=1", but both look different. Now, a colleague got a link to a Skype call by one of our customers, but instead of getting in using new Edge, he got the infamous "install the Web App" dialogue, which, when he does so simply opens a new tab whose URL ends with "uninstall=1", which is a clear indicator, that something went wrong.

Usually when installing the Web App for colleagues, I have to log in as an admin, visit the University of Iowa's Skype Test Meeting site, install the web app, test it in Edge and everything works fine for me and when the regular user logs in without admin privileges. Firefox doesn't like it at all since some months or a year ago and I have already tested it some time ago with the new chromium based Edge. This time, my problem revolves around the Skype For Business Web App and its many weird facettes of not working, not gettings installed and/or a combination of both.įirst off: it used to work with the old MS Edge browser.
